Climbing the 13,770-foot Grand Teton is a premier alpine mountaineering experience, typically involving 14–15 miles of hiking, 7,000 feet of elevation gain, and5.4–5.8 class technical rock climbing. Most climbers use a 2–3 day itinerary, staying at the Lower Saddle, or do a very long single-day push (16+ hours) starting from Lupine Meadows
