What it takes
Caber toss, stone put, hammer throw, sheaf toss, weight-over-bar. Masters divisions (50+, 60+) at Highland Games festivals across the US and Scotland. Raw, primal, zero running. Competition classes are organized by age and weight, with separate lightweight and heavyweight divisions. Many athletes start in their 50s with no prior throwing experience. You throw heavy things and drink whisky.
