Motorcycle overlanding is long-distance adventure riding — crossing continents on a loaded bike, camping wild, and navigating unpaved roads in remote terrain. Classic routes include Baja's Transpeninsular Highway, Morocco's Atlas Mountains, Patagonia's Ruta 40, and the Pan-American Highway. Adventure bikes (BMW GS, KTM 890, Honda Africa Twin) are purpose-built for this. Most riders start with a weekend overnighter before committing to multi-week expeditions. The community is tight-knit and welcoming to beginners.
